currently at the toronto airport waiting for our flight to depart to frankfurt, germany. we had a fantastic send off this morning where i was able to read allowed to the group an excerpt from "Angie's Story" which was written by holocaust survivor angie suss paul who passed away a few years ago. i was fortunate enough to hear angie speak and be touched by her story in middle school, so it was a great honor to read her story today. we left rochester on a big coach bus to toronto and met up in conference room at the airport to be introduced to sally wasserman, one of the survivors who will be traveling with us. we took the monorail to our terminal and had to check our bags. unfortunately, i did not realize they weighed carry ons and mine was overweight, so i had to move most of my things to my suitcase to compensate for my heavy laptop that i wanted to keep in the carry on. needless to say, i was slightly frantic! but all is well now. we are sitting at our gate playing the card game "b.s." (aka bullshit). wish me luck on the plane (i'll need it!). i hate flying and am a nervous wreck but at least i have plenty of friends around to help!
that's all for now! sorry for an uneventful post, but it has been a fairly uneventful day.
